Richard W. Medley, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was born on December 22, 1949 in to the late Charles and Elizabeth Medley. Richard retired from the United States Army and served in tanks. While serving in Vietnam he received two w/v Bronze Stars, an Army Accommodation Medal, and a Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm. He was a member of VFW Post 1181. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He had a great sense of humor and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Marlese Medley; children, Patricia Kinder, Terrie Medley, Rebecca (Fred) Jupin and Meloney (John) Seewer; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Patricia Bell, David Medley, Joanne Carnes, Judith Medley, James Medley, Christine Sears, Sharon O'Hara, Joseph Medley, Timothy Medley, Teri Vazquez, Jerry Medley, Charles Medley and Andrew Medley.
Services for Richard will be private and he will be laid to rest in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
