Dakota Rodgers, 29, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Dakota loved his family & friends, dogs, fishing, camping, music, shooting guns, chugging beer, and having a good time. He attend Seneca High School but played on the Eastern High School Lacrosse team where they won the Kentucky State Championship in 2007. Dakota was a jovial and fun loving individual. He always had a smile, and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was born on March 31, 1991 in Louisville, Kentucky to Todd and Angela (Downs) Rodgers. He is preceded in death by his Grandfathers, Larry Downs, and Larry Rodgers.
Dakota is survived by his, Mother, Angela Vasquez, Father, Todd Rodgers, Girlfriend, Roni Boyd, Brothers, Roman Rodgers, Tim Pysher, Walker Rodgers, and Troy King, Sisters, Catalina Vasquez, Crystal Rodgers, Jennifer Price, and Savannah Montgomery, Grandmothers, Georgia Brentzel, and Cynthia Smith, and Grandfather, Don Brentzel. Dakota also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Friends, and Extended Family.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 9:00 am until his service. Dakota's Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel.
The family requests that contributions in Dakota's memory be made to his Parents.
