Gladys Norene (Watson) Courtney, 99, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Gladys will always be remembered for her love and care she provided to her family.

She was born on November 8, 1920 in Adair County, Kentucky to the late Joel and Minta (Edrington) Watson. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Allen Courtney; son, Jerry Wood; and daughter, Sandra Courtney.

Gladys is survived by her loving family, Thomas "Allen" (Barbara) Courtney, Angela (Jeff) Batliner, Jordan, Taylor, and Jarrett Batliner, Misti Reid, Molli Reid, and Troy Courtney.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Service will be at 12:30 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Gladys’s memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
