Larry Ray Underwood
1949 - 2020

Larry Underwood, 70, went home to be with Jesus on August 2, with his family by his side. Larry grew up in Louisville, where he attended Manual High School and received a business degree from the University of Louisville. However, anyone who knew him knew that he was the biggest University of Kentucky wildcat fan there was. His love for the Cats was only outmatched by his love for the Lord and his love for his family. He worked for Henry Vogt Machine Company for 40 years as an accountant. Not many people can say they worked for a company for 40 years. His work history is only a small testament to the committed man he was. He was a faithful member of Woodland Church in Middletown for 33 years. He walked daily with the Lord, even as he struggled to understand why his body never quite worked they way he would have wanted it to. Anyone who knew him will remember him as a man who ministered to others through his struggles with his condition and God's purposes in it.

He married his partner in life, Sharon, in 1970. They just recently celebrated 50 years together. They had two daughters, Kim and Valerie. They have 3 grandchildren, Addie, JB, and Baker.

"I have fought the good fight, I have kept the faith, I have finished the race.”
2 Timothy 4:7

A private celebration of Larry's life will take place at Woodland Church.
