Obituary for Elyimar Jacpueline Haymon "Jackie Minor"
God has called home another angel. Jackie Minor left this earth on Wednesday July 1st, 2020 .
As a child Jackie was loved and had a lot of friends, spunk, and a great personality. She was always smiling and she loved to dance. Singing was also a favorite past time and often in the company of her sisters you could peek into the family household and see the siblings all lined up doing a Version of "We are Family" by the Sister Sledge or any Prince song with Jackie loved.
As a young adult and adult, she was kind to anyone who was in need, and would often give the shirt off her back, and the shoes off her feet literally, always letting people know she comes from a family of love and she would always be OK. She often let people stay in her home, never asking for a dime, and always providing meals to anyone who was hungry.

Jackie loved to cook and was known to call folks over for a pot of chili, some fried chicken, or something she cooked from scratch just to show folks who was the cook, (besides her mother) in the family.

In her adult life the caregiver side of her flowed over to the work and career she had as a CNA and as a prep cook for the Pendennis Club. Jackie also loved to play Bingo and the lottery, and was really good at playing games, and would often beat her sisters and family members at board games such as Monopoly and Dominos, Pictionary and poker. Many of the family nights you could drive pass her residency and hear her exclaim "Gotcha"! My Game! Beaming with a smile and with a lot of love she would always hug the person she would win against and say, "I Love You". Her laugh and honest spirit would always put smiles on everyone's faces.

To her family she was fiercely loyal, protective, and giving and never turned her back on anyone even when those around her did not always deserve her kindness.

She was married for over 20 years to her husband, Derwin Haymon, who passed away 4 years before her. Preceding before her was her brother Elijah Theodore Minor, and sister, Gloria Rhoshaunda Renee Griffith. She leaves behind, her mother, Doris Minor, 4 siblings, Rhonda Louise Griffith, Lisa Renee Keita, Elisha W. Emmanuel Minor, and Mattie Barber, and a host of Nieces and Nephews, including Devin Jeremiah, and Amira Gazelle Minor. She also leaves behind an abundance of cousins, aunts and uncles who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the Newcomer, Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville). Her Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Green Meadows Cemetery.

Jackie will be missed, but her spirit and memories live on through her loved ones.
