1934 - 2020

Marian C. Burton, age 86 left this life on Monday, June 22, 2020 to join her husband Jim. After graduating from Stuart Robinson High School, she came to Louisville to go to Spencerian Business School and find a job. She met and married James (Jim) in 1954, then followed him to Germany where he was stationed with the U.S. Army. Their son Rob was born in Nuremberg Army Hospital. After returning to the States they settled in Lyndon and their daughter Beverly was born at the original Baptist Hospital Louisville. Both children attended Lyndon Elementary School and graduated from Westport and Shelby County High Schools respectively. Marian worked for 50 years in the life insurance industry for several companies. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Gernie and Callie Dixon Croucher; sister, Joy Croucher and brother, Bob Croucher (Anna).

Marian is survived by her two children, Rob (Sarah) and Beverly Baker (Randy); two brothers, Bill (Judy) and Jim (Gwen Rollins); two sisters, Janet Feltner (Richard) and Sherrill Kaye Bracken; step-granddaughter, Jamie Glenn (Luke); three step-great grandchildren, Reese, Ashlyn and Drake Glenn; and a host of relatives and friends.

A celebration of Marian's life will be 7 pm on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Eastwood Christian Church, 16410 Eastwood Cut Off Rd, Louisville, KY 40245.
