Anita “Jo Brown” Morris, 61, of Okalona passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 16, 2020.
Jo was born November 26, 1958 as the youngest daughter of Charlie and Mae Brown. A feisty, stubborn, and sassy soul, crazy and proud of it. Anyone who met her was guaranteed to never be able to forget her. As an English Major and Computer Major from JCC and former supervisor for UPS, Jo above all else will be remembered as a lifelong Harley lover and dedicated Cards fan!

She was preceded in death in death by her father and mother, Charlie and Mae Brown. Two of her older sisters, Diane Frederick and Barbara Whittington and her nephew Dennis Frederick. Jo leaves behind to cherish her memory 2 children, Ashley Bolt (Robert) and Zachary Vogelsong (Cassi), 5 grandchildren who she adored, Nevaeh, Alyson, Kadynce, Aleaja and Alexander. Her sister, Judy Blandford and her soul sisters, Diana Yates Duncan, Vickie Warren-Coulter, Mindy McDonald Brightwell and Robin Johnson Cundiff, and a host of other friends and family.

Visitation will be from 12-5pm on Saturday, May 30th at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Chapel. A service celebrating Jo’s life will begin at 5pm on Saturday. Interment will be with her mom and dad at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington.

All family and friends are encouraged to help celebrate her life. Anyone attending are encouraged to wear their favorite Harley Bike attire or Cardinal Gear!
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to assist with her final interment, there is a Go Fund Me campaign active. Anyone wanting to make a memorial donation can do so to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
