Robert Paul "Bob/Bobby" Steier, 68, of Laconia, Indiana, went to be with God on Monday, April 6, 2020. Bob was a member of the Crandall Lodge No. 591 of the Free Masons, a Son of the American Legion in Elizabeth, and a Lifetime Member of the NRA. Bob loved hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving dad, papaw, son, brother, and friend.
He was born on July 10, 1951, in New Albany, Indiana, to Esther (Keithley) and the late Herschel Steier.
Along with his mother, Bob is survived by his loving children, Terry (Crista) Steier, Krista (Troy Buccola) Steier, and Brandi (Chris) Stice; grandchildren, Logan Steier, Jenna Steier, Jaxon Davis, Cambrie Stice, and Cruze Stice; siblings, Sharon Briles, Sandra (Hal) Layman, and John Steier; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A private gathering of family will be held with cremation to follow according to Bob's wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date once the health crisis has passed.
The family requests that contributions in Bob’s memory be made to Kosair Charities.
