1954 - 2020

James Alton Ross, age 65 of Louisville, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020. He was born October 18, 1954 to the late John Bailey and Dorothy Hill Ross. He was formerly employed with K&I Lumber for over 25 years as a woodworker. Jim enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and trips to Charleston, South Carolina with his wife Paulette each year. A Catholic by faith, he more recently attended Southside Baptist Church with his wife, where they had many memorable times and good friends. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Melinda “Susie” Ross.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Paulette; his children, Tiffany Ann Huff (Dale) and Jennifer Lynn Williams (Andrew); step-sons, William Gerald Cottner, Jr. (Terri) and Troy Stephen Cottner (Terri); 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; siblings, Linda Louise Ross and Andrew Bailey Ross (Jane); several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

All services will be private.

Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
