In Memory Of
Loretta Irene (Riddell) Witt
1933 - 2020
She moved to New Albany, Indiana, and was a lifetime resident of Silver Hills. She loved working in her yard, caring for her flowers, and always had projects to do to keep her yard looking beautiful. Her fruit trees and a 75-year-old lilac bush still blooms today. She loved playing games, whether it be badminton and croquet with the kids in the backyard; ping pong or table games made her happy. She loved organizing birthday parties for her friends and made sure there were games and presents for all who attended.
She worked at the Federal Reserve Bank for many years and was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
Loretta was preceded in death by her son, Steven C. Witt. She is survived by her daughter, Linda K. Witt (Jackie June); granddaughter, Lindsey Witt; 3 great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends Sharon Lang, Sara Lang, Freda Sommerville, and Dr. Patricia Lee June.
Services are private, and Loretta will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. The family wishes to thank Loretta’s loving team of Amber, Jessica, Jenn, Lisa, Cindy, TC Baker, and Melia of Adaptive Hospice for their guiding and loving support through the end of our mother’s life journey.
