John William Lewis
1980 - 2020

John Lewis, 39, of Pewee Valley, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020.

He was born on July 20, 1980 in Denver, Colorado to William and Kathleen (Ashton) Lewis. He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Lewis.

John graduated from Columbine High School in 1998 where his bigger-than-life personality drew friends to him like a magnet. John was a caring and gentle soul, and that along with his sense of humor spread to everyone around him. When John wasn't exploring the Rocky Mountains or driving cross-country for a concert, he loved to sing karaoke with his booming and beautiful voice, play video games with friends, and cheer on his beloved Denver Broncos. After moving to Kentucky in 2006, and the birth of his son in 2009, John would find the love of his life and her two wonderful children and embark on a wonderful chapter of his life. John was the life of the party, the voice over the crowd, and a beloved and cherished son, brother, father, and friend.

John is survived by his father, William Lewis (Linda), his loving girlfriend, Brandy Taylor, brother, Jeffrey Lewis (Britany), son Mason Lewis, step-children Billy Joe and Olivia Taylor.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).

The family requests that contributions in John’s memory be made to The Healing Place of Louisville, KY or another charity of your choice.
