In Memory Of
James F. Ashcraft

James F. Ashcraft, 66, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, a wild, fierce and adventurous spirit, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019.

He was born on August 29, 1953 in Eastwood, Kentucky to the late Millard and Ada Ashcraft. Jim was a landscaper who enjoyed riding his motorcycle and fishing.

Jim is survived by his sons, Micah Ashcraft, Joshua Stayton, his 3rd and 4th ex-wife Rebekah Ashcraft, and his dog Chewy. He is also survived by his daughter, Brandi Ashcraft and her many children, including Rachelle and CJ Ashcraft. Jim leaves behind his dearest friends - his ex-girlfriend Angie Smith, Chris Cox and Kenny Gray, all of whom loved, partied and cared for him.

He leaves behind his beloved circle of caregivers at Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville, including his friend, Bill Botkins, all of whom loved and cared for him through his long illness and provided him comfort, love, and the nurse’s station coffee. He greatly appreciated the doctors, nurses, cleaning people and the other staff who came to talk with him and comfort him.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Millard, Eugene, Owen, Ernest and his sister, Bonnie V. Quire. He will be remembered by his brother Harold and his sisters Mary, Rose, Cora and Ethel.

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no service, as he wished to be remembered as he lived. Jim also wished to have his remains scattered across the farm he loved, surrounded by family and friends.

Any expressions of sympathy should be sent to Hosparus.
