Marilyn Ruth Collier, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

She was born on August 20, 1936 in Stone Creek, OH to Edward and Erma Fellman. She is preceded in death by her Son, Terry Ray Collier, her Parents, Brother, Paul Fellman, and Sister, Phyllis Gaut.

Marilyn was known for sending cards for every occasion. She also loved singing and cooking. Marilyn never met a stranger and always gave encouraging words to those she met. She was an avid reader and even after her eye sight failed she would listen to books on tape. Marilyn was a Christian, well loved wife, mother, meemaw, aunt, and friend who will be missed.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 62 years, Tony Collier, son, Ricky Collier (Mary), granddaughter, Katie Fuqua (Jake), grandson, Cory Collier (Ashley), grandson, Matthew Collier, grandson, Denver Young, granddaughter, Shelly Gallinger, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243)

The family requests that contributions in Marilyn ’s memory be made to Watterson Trail Church of Christ (9607 Watterson Trail, Jeffersontown, KY 40299).
