1944 - 2019

William “Bill” Joseph Wooldridge, 74, of Middletown, KY, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Marjorie Wooldridge.

He was the founder and CEO of MedEcon Services, the first national group purchasing company in the medical industry; servicing hospitals in 48 states.

He was a man of many interests. He Captained his own yacht from Newport RI to the Bahamas, and to his dock at Ocean Reef, in the Florida Keys, riding his Harley motorcycles to bike week in Sturgis and all the national parks, traveling the world, hunting, photography and cooking pancakes for family breakfast.

His biggest love was being with children. Bill would rent the Louisville trolley to take the neighborhood kids and their families to see Christmas lights, and created Halloween memories for the kids of Anchorage with a haunted house that became a mandatory stop for every trick or treaters route.

He made friends where ever he went.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Teresa Giovenco Wooldridge;
Children, Terri Wooldridge (Andy), Sandi Wooldridge ( Pat), and Christina Wooldridge Elpers (Vince); 5 grandchildren, Jackson, Joe, Mason, Thomas and Grace.
His siblings, Kitty, Mary Charles and David.
Multiple nieces and nephews, Nick, Dusty, John, Ken, Mimi, Todd, Adam, Jay, Aron, Georgia and Angele; and a host of relatives and friends.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Middletown, KY, 40243 on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 1-4 PM.

Due to his love for children, in lieu of flowers, Bill requested charitable contributions be made to Blessings in a Backpack.
