Richard "Rick" Bradley Oates, 60, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019.

He was born on June 13,1959 in Quonset Pointe, Rhode Island to James and Marian Oates. He is preceded in death by his Father, James D. Oates, and Brother, Sammy Oates.

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Cheryl J. Oates, Son, Andrew "Andy" B. Oates, Mother, Marian Gordon, Brother, James Oates, and Sister, Janice Way.

A gathering for Rick's Family and friends will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of his life will be at 12:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.

Donations in Rick's memory may be made to the WHAS Crusade For Children.
