Linez Denice "Nez" Williams
1953 - 2019

Linez Denice "Nez" Williams, 66, of Louisville Kentucky, was welcomed into Heaven on Monday, July 15, 2019.

Nez was born February 4, 1953 in Louisville Kentucky. She attended Shawnee High School and was a graduate of Kentucky State University. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ at West Chestnut Street Baptist Church. She was a dedicated member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Radcliff, Kentucky where she faithfully served until she became ill.

Nez was a Head Start teacher for the Jefferson County Public School System. She loved teaching and working with children. She is survived by one daughter, Noel Avery; three sons, Juan (Gwen) and Steven Avery and Ja’Mel (Toni) Frazier; one sister, Cynthia (Joe) Frazier Ferrell; and four brothers, Gregory, Everett “Arnold”, Eris and Phillip (Deborah) Frazier. Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: C’Nique Kline, Cu’Rel Avery, Christen Avery, Jacob Leahmem, Tyreke Blackmon, Trinity Blackmon, Daquriah Avery, Steven Avery Jr, Khalil Frazier, Khamya Frazier, Eric Frazier, Corey Avery, Kaleigh Richmond, Joshua Dickerson, Karessa Harrell, and Morris Duncan; Great Grand Children: Zoie Garrett, Ezra Avery and Zara Avery; an uncle, John Holden Jr., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Edward Frazier and her two sisters, Joycelyn Franklin and Katherine Frazier.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm and Monday, July 22, 2019 at Peace Presbyterian Church, 4210 East Indian Trail, Louisville KY from 12pm 2pm with a celebration of Nez's life beginning at 2pm.

There will be no graveside service as a private memorial will be held at a later date.
