Johnny Andre (Dre) Lunsford was born on September 8, 1955 to James Lunsford and the late Dolores C. Robinson in Hopkinsville, KY. He served in the United States Navy as a Jet Mechanic. His truck driver career exceeded for forty years, most recently employed at Ryder Transportation Incorporated.

Dre played with the Foundations Band during his high school years. Dre was musically gifted, he played the drums, guitar, and keyboard, and dabbed in writing music, his favorite hobby was fishing.

Dre was small in stature with a baritone voice. He was fun loving, humorous, full of laughter, always ready to help others, to know him was to love him.
Dre was the first elect of Faith Allegiance Full Gospel Church, he was dedicated and committed to the building of God's Kingdom. Dre served the Lord in Spirit and in Truth, through his Christian attributes and his Facebook ministry he touched many lives. He was a member of the brotherhood ministry.

He leaves to Cherish his memories his wife Pastor Linda Crane Lunsford, father James Lunsford, adopted mom Betty Lunsford, children: DeJ on Lunsford, Daniel Lunsford, LaQuettia Lunsford, Jada Lunsford, Shemida Johnson, and Tamita Crane, sister's: Wanda Johnson, Veronica Samuel, Verna Jones, Angela Greene, Anita Winston, Jackie Richardson, brothers: Reggie Robinson, Barry Robinson, and a host of grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dre was preceded in death by his mother Delores C. Robinson, siblings: Clifford Robinson, Larry and Janice Wharton.

Visitation for Johnny "Dre" Lunsford will be held at Miracle Temple of Deliverance Church of God In Christ (2208 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY) on Saturday July 13, 2019 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Dre funeral service will then follow at 1:00 pm at the Miracle Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
