Hugh Garland Stamper, Jr., 76, of Louisville, KY passed away on May 14, 2019. He retired from TARC as a driver after 20 plus years. Hugh enjoyed his weekly prayer meetings and loved fishing, camping, making wine and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Steinhauser and Hugh Stamper, Sr; daughter, Linda Stamper and brothers, Gilbert and Lloyd Stamper.

Hugh is survived by his wife, Arbutus Stamper; son, Martin (Bobbie Jo) Stamper; grandchildren, Kayla, Marty and Tanner; great-grandson, Damian Michael "Jeep"; brothers, Estel and Frankie and sisters, Ray, Georgia, Ella and Glenna.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 2pm-8pm. Visitation will also be Monday, May 20, 2019, at the funeral home from 9am until time for the service at 1:00pm.

Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West, 4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216.
