She and her loving husband, Gerald D. Wells (Jerry), celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on January 1st, 2019. She enjoyed golf, travel, playing bridge, music and gardening; but her life was most enriched by a strong faith in God, family and friends.

Wells; son Gerald “Rusty” Wells; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Glenn Mierendorf; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Douglas Walker; grandchildren Erin Wells and her husband Chip Huff, Freia Louise Mierendorf and Grace Anne Walker; and brother Terry David Eckert with family of Orefield, Pennsylvania.
The family wishes to thank the many loving caregivers at the Episcopal Church Home as well as Dr. Jane Cornett, who unfailingly would go above and beyond.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at Christ Church United Methodist Church, 4614 Brownsboro Road, Louisville. The funeral service and a Celebration of Life will follow at 12:15 p.m. with Pastor Melissa Head presiding.
