1948 - 2018

Stephen Allen Hale passed away on Thursday December 13, 2018. He was born an only child on July 31, 1948 to the parents of Richard and Gertrude Hale who are both deceased. He was raised in Roanoke, VA and graduated from Northside High School in 1966. He went on to further his career at Bridgewater College in Dayton, VA where he graduated with honors in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education. Working as a Minister of Youth, Music, and Education Ministries, he decided to pursue a Master’s Degree at James Madison University. He graduated in 1987 with a Master of Arts in Music Performance and Conducting. He was very gifted in this area and touched so many lives with his knowledge and experience. God called him into full-time Christian service in 1972 where he gave his life to preach the gospel. On October 27, 1990, he married the love of his life Patricia Kay Bryant. Together, they raised three beautiful daughters and sang their hearts out! They shared 28 years of love, laughter, some sadness, but most of all, together they could conquer the world.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Kay, and their three daughters, Emmylee Kaytlyn, AbbyGrace Allyn, & Savana Joy who is married to Benjamin Hummel; His first grandson, Benaiah Elliot born this November 2nd; sister in law, Lee Ann Huffman and niece, Taylor; brother in law, Andy Bryant and wife Karen; nephews, Colby Bryant and wife Alicia, Austen Bryant and wife Katey and their children, Genevieve and Landyn; cousin, Butch Cook and wife Donna; nephew, Adam Cook and wife Stephanie and their son, James.

Service will be handled by Newcomer Funeral Home on Dixie Highway in Louisville, Kentucky. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 17th from 3:00 to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 18th at 11:30am at Gospel Kingdom Church, 4742 Cane Run Road, Louisville. Burial will be held at the Campground, 141 Mt. Elmira Road, Shepherdsville, Kentucky immediately following the service.
