Dolores Ann (Banet) Engleman, 85, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. Dolores was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and the Democratic Women's Club. She was a promoter of the March of Dimes, loved the Christmas Season, and loved playing cards and bingo. Out of all her pastimes, Dolores loved spending the most time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was born on January 10, 1933 in Floyd County, Indiana to the late Herman J., Sr. and Grace M. (Falkenstein) Banet. Along with her parents, Dolores is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Melvin Engleman; and son, Kenneth Engleman.

Dolores is survived by her daughters, Theresa Welch (Scott), Cynthia Craig (Danny), and Lisa Demas (Dale); daughter-in-law, Beverly Huber Engleman; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Juanita Lilly, Beatrice Fife, Doris Stilger, Janet Schmidt, Kathleen Fritz, Nancy Lemons, and Herman J. Banet, Jr.; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be from 2PM to 8PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Thursday, in the chapel at St. Mary of the Knobs with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family requests that contributions in Dolores’ memory be made to St. Vincent DePaul.
