Helen Frances (Hall) "Kitty" Hicks
1934 - 2018

Helen Frances “Kitty” (Hall) Hicks, 84, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Friday evening, November 16, 2018. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in New Albany. Kitty enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises, and as soon as her latest trip was over she was on to planning the next one. She loved her family and absolutely adored her grandchildren.

She was born on June 21, 1934, in Washington County, Kentucky, to the late William Hall and Nellie (Skeans) Hall Scott. Kitty was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hicks; and siblings, Jarvis Scott and Laverne Burton.

Kitty is survived by her children, Tammy Schulz (Pete) and Kevin Hicks (Darlene); siblings, Linda Jenkins and Tommy Scott (Cassandra); brother-in-law, Fred Burton; grandchildren, Kailan Hicks, Joshua Uhl, and Ashley Schulz; and great-grandchildren, Lyrik Hicks, Julia Ann Uhl, and Leila Mae Hicks.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

Contributions in Kitty’s memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org) or to Kindred Hospice (391 Quartermaster Court, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130).
