Kermit Lee Davis, 79, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 15, 2018. He retired from Alignrite, Inc., in Jeffersonville and was also a long-time member of the Sellersburg Burger King Coffee Club, aka “the Liars Club.” Lee was known as the neighborhood watchdog and enjoyed a number of things, which included woodworking, mowing his yard, and rolling cigarettes.

He was born on February 3, 1939, in Tell City, Indiana, to the late Kermit and Georgie (Hottle) Davis. Lee was also recently preceded in death by his brother, Scott Davis; and sister-in-law, Janet Davis.

Lee is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marla Kaye (Armstrong) Davis; children, Raymond Davis (Robin), James Davis, Jeff Davis (Nikki), Jason Davis, Shawn Davis, Mickey Davis (Jamie), Ashlee Davis; grandchildren, Andrew, Whitney, Haeven, Nickolas, Kaylee, Brianna, Ryan, Jackson, Bob, Sarah, Victor, and Isabella; and great-grandchildren, Carver, Lucy, Archer, and Kodi.

Cremation was chosen, and a reception of family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Memorial Service taking place at 6:00 p.m.
