Rashaun L. "Famo" Shelby was born on May 21, 1977 in Louisville, KY to the late Frank Blackmon & Renee Shelby. He departed this life on November 9, 2018. He is preceded in death by his father.

Rashaun accepted Christ as his Savior at early age and was baptized at the Church of Our Merciful Savior.
He was educated in the Louisville Public School system, and graduated from Iroquois High School. Rashaun loved his family very much. He was very protective of his family; he was a fighter when it came to his loved ones.

Rashaun leaves to cherish in his memories, his mother Renee (Charles Watson) Shelby, his stepmother, Priscilla Blackmon, his fiancee Heather Krisby, his son, Elijah Brigner, his brothers: Maurice ( Monica) Shelby, Ahmad Watson, Antwain Blackmon; his sisters: Kristie Cardine, Marian (Ron) Moore, Rochelle Blackmon, Schvonda Tramber and Tonya (Samuel) Moore and host of many other relatives and friends.

Rashaun served as a father figure to his fiancee’s children whom he loved as his own, Jeremy, Kymber and Conner Ferrell.

Visitation will be Friday, November 16, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Rashaun's life beginning at 1pm.
