Neal F. Thompson, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 with his family by his side. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church for over fifty years. He was also a member of the Brotherhood and Senior Usher Board.

He attended Seneca High School and in 1965 joined the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War. He retired from Henry Vogt Machine company as a machinist. He eventually opens the T-Nine Social Club which was named for his Nine elders (his dad, 6 uncles and 2 aunts). Everybody that came to the Club loved him. He would feed everybody he didn’t care who you were.

He was born on April 17, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Theodore, Sr., and Ardenia Thompson. He is preceded in death by his brothers Clifton Saunders and Theodore Thompson, Jr. Son Lavar “Squirt” Thompson, and granddaughter Romanique “Nikki” Thompson.

Neal is survived by his wife Carolyn Thompson, sons Neal Thompson, Jr., Andre Thompson and Antwan Hackley, daughters, Veronica Thompson, Antoinette Thompson, Nea Thompson of Bowie, MD., and Elisca {Darrell) Goldsmith, aunts Mattie Thompson, Flo Etta Thompson and Ann Thompson of Gary, Indiana. Two sisters in Law Patricia Martin and Catherine Stitchcomb. Seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandkids. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2018, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1057 S. 28th Street, Louisville, KY 40211, from 5pm-8pm. A celebration of Neal's life will be Saturday, November 10, 2018, beginning at 11am at the church.

A graveside service will be at Louisville Cemetery, 1339 Poplar Level Road, Louisville, KY on Monday, November 12, 2018, at 11am.
