Dawson Parker, 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 with family at his side. He was born to the late Mitchell and Myrtle Parker in Place, Kentucky on February 5, 1939. He was united in marriage to Lucille Miracle on October 6, 1956. To this union three children were born.

Dawson spent 46 years in farm equipment sales, first for the Brinly-Hardy Company, then for Implement Sales Company. He loved fishing, gardening, woodworking and his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucille; his son, Donald Allen; brothers, Harold Parker and Edward Parker; sisters, Effie Engle and Virginia "Ruth" Hampton.

He is survived by his son, Leonard Parker (Susan); daughter, Jeanne Keeter; sisters, Mildred Farrow and Janice Walden (Jasper "Jerry"); grandchildren, Elizabeth Tinnell (Robert), Christopher Parker (Shawn), Melinda Jaggers (Hannah), Stephen Keeter (Stacy), Jonathan Keeter, Thomas Keeter (Jennifer), Walter Parker; and great-grandchildren, Mitchell Tinnell, Isaiah Parker, Paityn Tinnell, Isabella Parker, Madisyn Tinnell , Benjamin Keeter and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Additional services will be held on Saturday at Knox Funeral Home in Barbourville, KY.
