Wayne Allen Beams, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at his home. Wayne loved to fish and spend time outdoors. He also enjoyed just being out in the yard working. Wayne loved being with his family and friends, and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

He was born on July 13, 1936 in Hudgens, Kentucky to Victor and Ova (McCubins) Beams. He is preceded in death by his Father, Victor Beams, Mother, Ova Beams, Brother, Shorty Beams, Brother, Elder Beams, Brother, Bob Beams, Brother, Robert Beams, Brother, James "Jimmy" Beams, Sister, Dorothy Beams, Sister, Kathleen McCubins, Sister, Mabele Beams, Sister, Adele Beams.

Wayne is survived by his loving Wife of 61 years, Velma Jean Beams, Daughter, Valerie (Billy) Hackney, Son, David (Michelle) Beams, Daughter, Donna Beams, Granddaughter, Jessica (Shane) Beams, Grandson, Scott (Amber) Beams, Grandson, Ryan (Adriana ) Bittorf, Granddaughter, Kayla Seibert, Brother, Donald (Betty) Beams, Brother, Cledus (Shelia) Beams, Brother, Carl (Brenda) Beams, and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.

The family requests that contributions in Wayne’s memory be made to American Cancer Society - Louisville 701 West Muhammed Ali Boulevard Louisville, KY 40203-1916.
