Larry Neichter, age 62 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018. Larry graduated from Ballard High School and graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor Degree in journalism. He was a long-time member of Southeast Christian Church and active volunteer. Larry was known locally for his NASCAR expertise that he shared on WHAS Radio. He was a strong supporter of Lamb and Lion Ministries. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Katherine “Kitty” Givens Neichter and his brother, William “Buzzy” Neichter.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Vicky; daughter, Monica Smith; granddaughter, Nora Smith; brother, John Neichter (Andrea); nephew, Spencer Neichter; sister-in-law, Betsy Neichter; niece, Mary Recktenwald (Brian); great-nephews, Chase Caswell, Noah Recktenwald, Wyatt Recktenwald; aunts, Dot Schevetto and Joann Fothergill (Bill); cousins, Lisa Thompson (Rodney) and Colton Thompson; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown and also from 9 to 11 am Thursday, October 18th at Southeast Christian Church in the Fireside Room, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Larry’s life will follow at Southeast Christian at 11am, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lamb and Lion Ministries or the Disability Ministry at Southeast Christian Church.
