Joseph Michael ‘Mike’ Delaney, 64, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on August 16, 2018.
Mike was born in Louisville and graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Management. He spent many years in television editing and directing both in Hollywood and in Louisville at WHAS-TV. Mike was a skilled woodworker and spent many years working at Woodcraft in addition to his new career at UPS as an Operations Technician. Mike was passionate about airplanes and Indy car racing. He was an active member of the Louisville RC club and enjoyed flying model airplanes in his spare time. He also loved boating and fishing and spending time with his daughter, Erin.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Michael Delaney and his mother, Mary Lee Hartlage.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Erin Delaney.
The memorial gathering for Mike Delaney will be held at the Peterson-Dumesnil House at 301 S. Peterson Ave, Louisville, KY 40206 on Sunday, August 26, from 1pm-5pm.
