Delores “Janie” (Coleman) Davis, 67, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018. She was blessed with the gift of gab and considered a friend by so many. Janie could also be described as a wonderful caretaker, always looking out for and tending to the needs of others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially when they were out on the lake together making memories.

She was born on August 17, 1950, to the late George, Sr., and Minnie (Henderson) Coleman. Along with her parents, Janie was also preceded in death by her brother, George “Buzz” Coleman.

Janie is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Brent Davis; children, Brian Davis (Tiffany) and Brandy Henderson (Tony); sisters, Linda Foor (Don) and Janet Phelps; sister-in-law, Loretta Coleman; grandchildren, Gillian, Koby, Brock, and Brayden.

Cremation was chosen following Janie’s wishes. A reception of family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her Memorial Service taking place at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Janie’s memory may be made to Hosparus – the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150).
