Roger William Denkler
1944 - 2018

Roger William Denkler, age 74 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018. He was a Marine Corp Veteran and retired from the Jefferson County Police Department. He loved participating in Civil War reenactments and bowling. He also had a pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Sallie Denkler; and his son, Michael Denkler.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Helga Culbertson; daughter, Heather Angus (Tim); grandchildren, Sarah, Joe, Matthew, Andrew, Hannah, Angus, Tessa , Seth, Lucas and Jacob; step-children, Mark Culbertson (Leann), Kenny Culbertson, Lisa Simmons (Rob); sister, Marcella Key (Bill); and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 11am-1pm on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, with a celebration of Roger’s life at 1pm.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
