1933 - 2018

Madeline “June” Carpenter, age 84 of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018. June retired from General Electric after 33 years of service in September of 1988, and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Marian Fish; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Gaw.

June is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Robert P. Carpenter; her daughters, Debra Byerley (Robert), Kathryn Carpenter (Chuck) and Peggy Holsclaw; sisters, Barbara Austin, Bonita Carver (JT) and Connie Fish; brother, Harold Fish; 3 grandsons, 1 great-grandson, 4 great-granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 3-8 pm Monday, January 15, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of June’s life will be 11am Tuesday, January 16th at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, Kentucky.

Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.
