Marjorie C. Hyde, 81, passed away January 28, 2015, at the Baptist East Hospital treated by the staff and Hospice. She retired from Holmes Department Store (later Dillard’s) in Baton Rouge, LA where she lived for many years. She was born as Marjorie Lucille Coleman in Louisville, KY on September 23, 1933 to Isabelle Mastin and Daniel Coleman.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Pamela Fralix Marshall; sisters, Norma K. Baldry and Edna W. Miller and her ex-husband Robert Hyde, M.D.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, John Hyde (Patti) of Jackson, MS; sister, Bettie C. Burns and 3 brothers, James A. Coleman (Janice), Robert L. Coleman and Barry Michael (Teresa) Coleman; 5 grandchildren (2 of them, Chris Marshall and Scott Hyde whom she raised at the ages of 5 and 6 after their mother passed away); 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
