1924 - 2015

Donald Brice "Don" Williams, 90, passed away on January, 22, 2015. He was a WWII veteran of the Normandy invasion and the Battle of Cherbourg, France. He retired from L&N Railroad after 37 years and the Speed Art Museum after 20 years. He was a member of Gospel Kingdom Church for 66 years and was a faithful member. He coached Little League Baseball for 10 years and enjoyed playing golf. Don's life exemplified his love for God, his country and his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lon and Rena Williams and his brother, Burton Williams.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Thelma Williams; son, Alan (Rita) Williams; grandchildren, Jesse Williams, Jennifer (Justin) Ysunza; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Lillian Ysunza and sister, Thelma Jean King.

Visitation will be Monday, January 26, 2015, from 4pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). Visitation will also be on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Gospel Kingdom Church (4742 Can Run Road) from 11am-1pm with a celebration of life for Don beginning at 1pm.

Interment will be at Gospel of the Kingdom Campground Memorial Cemetery, 141 Mount Elmira Road, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.
