Pearl (Triplett) Baynard, 71, of New Albany, Indiana was called home on Saturday, December 13, 2014. She was born on November 25, 1943 in Finchville, Kentucky, to Claude and Julia Triplett. She worked at General Electric for over 30 years. Pearl was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Daughters of ISIS. Pearl enjoyed traveling, Broadway plays, Cancer Center Survivor holiday parties, and loved to wear scarves and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter James Baynard III; sisters, Julia Rose, Virginia, and Finese; brother, Howard.

She is survived by her children, Letitia Posey (Melvin), Walter James Baynard IV(Leisha), Darnell G. Baynard, and Cedric S. Baynard(Sue); grandchildren, Jasmine, Jalissa, Walter, Whitney, Melvin, and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Ray Lyn, Miles, Lila, Kingston, Ariyah, Ava, and Avery; sisters, Suzanne Triplett, Evelyn Mack, Yvonne Triplett, and Mary Singleton; and brothers, Joe, Trim, Wade, George, and Melvin Triplett.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) from 4 to 8 PM. Her Funeral Service will be on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the funeral home at 11AM with burial to follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in New Albany.

In lieu of flowers, memorial expressions can be made to American Cancer Society (701 West Muhammad Ali Boulevard, Louisville, KY 40203).
