JoAnn Theresa Blunk 83, of New Albany, Indiana was called home on Saturday November 22, 2014. She was born on February 15, 1931 in Corydon, Indiana to William and Alma Applegate Blunk. JoAnn retired from General Electric Appliance Park, Louisville, KY and was also a life member IUE Local 76 union.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a daughter Diana Lynn Wathen, a son Joseph R. Wathen Jr.; brother Billie D. Blunk, two sisters; Alma C. Griffin and Norma Lee Parker and her beloved schnauzer "Angel".

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Utrecht(William) of New Albany; son Michael Wathen(Paula) of New Albany; daughter-in-law, Rose and Daniel Manzano of New Albany, brother, John Blunk Sr. of Clarksville; grandchildren; Angela Crompton of Louisville,KY; Michelle and Robin Wathen of Clarkson,KY, Kevin Wathen of New Albany, Keith Wathen(Yvonne) of Georgetown; Kelly Powell(John) of Sellersburg, Diana Richmer(Mica) of Sellersburg, Teresa Temple(Bill) of Jeffersonville; Jennifer Plaiss(Jeremy) of Corydon; great-grandchildren; Matthew Powell, Amber, Emma, Brian Richmer, Alicia and Joshua Wathen along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial expressions can be made to Autism @ Generation Rescue,13636 Ventura Blvd. #259, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423

Visitation will be Monday November 24, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN from 3-8pm. Service will be on Tuesday November 25, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home at 11am with visitation before from 9-11am.
