Jacqueline Marie Dowdle, 86, of Louisville passed away on November 22, 2014. Jackie enjoyed bowling in her younger years, playing bingo, and visiting the casino. She was proud of her family, especially loved family reunions, poker games, and being a cosmetology model for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jackie was born in Louisville on July 10, 1928 to the late John and Elizabeth Vanover. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, Jimmy, Johnny, and Raymond; and three sisters, Aurelia, Mary, and Dorothy.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years Daniel Eugene Dowdle; children, Phyllis Brooks (Boice), Terry Harbin (Ancil), Janice Keys (Jerry), Daniel Eugene Dowdle, Jr. (Connie), Stephen Dowdle (Kathy), Bruce Dowdle (Denise), Tony Dowdle (Nicole); 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma, Clara, Betty, Judy, Dodie, and Linda; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, November 24, 2014 and continue on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Funeral Ceremony will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
