Ruby Louise Slaughter Shelton, age 82 of Frankfort, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Formerly of the Lyndon area in Louisville, she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert H. and Rachel M. Leland Smith. She was the proprietor of several business involving antiques. She was a member of the West Frankfort Church of God. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Lillian Easley, Roberta Shelburne, Roy Smith and Marvin Smith.

Ruby is survived by her loving husband, Frederic; children, Gary Slaughter (Mary), Steve Slaughter (Jennifer) and Donna Hall; grandchildren, Robbie Slaughter (Michele), Christopher Slaughter, Anita Slaughter, Angela Dresselhaus (Joe), Jordan Slaughter (Samantha), Brian Trent, Craig Slaughter (Leslie), Jessi Slaughter, Josh Hall and Brooke Burkhalter (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Kendall, Mason, Eleanor, Evie, Boone, Alexis, Bobby, Xavier, James, Levi, Eldon and Andy; sister, Gracie Graham; many nieces and nephews, including Linda Rucker (Marc); and a host of relatives and many special friends.

Visitation will be 3-7pm Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with service to follow at 7pm. Graveside service will be 1pm Monday, February 8, 2016 at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Ky.
