Evelyn M. Blair, 82, entered into heaven on July 23, 2015. She passed away peacefully in her sleep from cancer at her home with family at her side. Evelyn was a retired Food Service Manager at JCPS, a loving mother and grandmother.

She was born June 14, 1933 to Tina Mae (Johnson) and William Murphy. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Victor Blair along with grandchild, Kim Forbes, six brothers and one sister. Evelyn enjoyed family time with her kids and grandkids, Saturday night dinners with family, being on the water, board games, playing cards and bird watching. She had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and was an excellent cook.

Evelyn is survived by many family members. Children, Debbie (Danny) Robinson, Larry Forbes, Cindy (Richard) Long, Pam Nunn and Tony (Shannon) Blair. Ten grandchildren, Derrick (Merritt) Robinson, Deshawn (David) Kelley, Kasey (Ren) Kennison, Chris Forbes, Sarah Breit, Samantha Breit, Jennifer Nunn, Katie Burke, Taylor Blair, Brayden Blair, twelve great-grandchildren, Evey, Ella, Eli, Austin, Carmen, John, Trey, Chase, Ava, Chloe, Kaylee and Kaleb along with three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Jerry Murphy and one sister Sarah Jane Murphy.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home at 235 Juneau Drive, with the funeral services on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N Dixie Blvd, Fort Knox, KY 40121.
