Richard Allen Wright, 48, of Clarksville, Indiana “the Mill,” passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, and making others laugh. Richard was a true family man and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was born on March 4, 1967 in New Albany to Sylvester “Speedy” Wright and the late Patricia (Eblesisor) Wright. Along with his mother, he was also preceded in death by his nephew, Ronnie Nixe.

Richard is survived by his wife of 21 years, Rhonda (Fetz) Wright; children, BJ Shaffer (Lacy Hutchins), Sharon Martinez (Diego); siblings, Portia Nixe (Ronald), James “Mickey” Wright (Janice), Mike Wright (Charity), Steve Wright (Holli), Jamie Wright; grandchildren, Connor, Hannah, McKenzie, Gavin, Brandon, Clarita; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be from 12 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 11 AM. His Funeral Service will take place at 1 PM Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Swayback Cemetery in Borden, Indiana.
