Richard Stanley Miles, 70 of Jeffersontown, KY has gone home to be with his heavenly Father, on the morning of June 24, 2015. He was born on December 8, 1944 to the late William and Mary Miles. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, several siblings, and his grandson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Dottie Miles, four daughters; (Janet, Donna, Vicci, and Brittany), siblings and grandchildren.

Richard was the most proud of being a loving husband and father to "his girls" followed by his service to his country as he served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy on the USS Kearsarge and obtained the rank of DP2/E-5 within just three years.

Per Richard's request he will be cremated and graveside honors to be rendered at
Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North Dixie Boulevard, Fort Knox, KY 40121 on
Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are welcome.

There will be a reception service following in Fern Creek.
