William Lee "Bill" Meeks
1945 - 2015

William Lee "Bill" Meeks, 70, passed away on May 28, 2015. He was a great worker and asset to the Lord. Bill was a dual member of the Valley Station Church of God pastored by Danny Morris and the Lighthouse of Prayer in Borden, IN, pastored by Ed Jordan. He was a skilled craftsman and carpenter. Bill loved working with his hands, building models, painting, fishing, reading, going to the ocean and hasn't missed a tractor pull at the Meade County Fair. Bill was always the first one there for anyone who ever needed him and never expected anything in return. He was a great man of many talents and will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lena Meeks and sisters, Maybelle and Naomi.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Helen Yvonne Meeks; children, Rob (Jackie) Meeks, Roy "Pete" (Ruby) Madden, Al (Natalie) Madden, Martin "TT" (Tonya) Madden, Shelia Madden (Michael), Norma Lee Yarberry Meeks, Gary Meeks and Taylor Meeks; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and sister, Margie Tate

Visitation will be Monday, June 1, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 10am-8pm. A celebration of Bill's life will be Tuesday, June 2, 2015, beginning at 1pm at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9am until time for services.

Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Highway, Valley Station, KY.
