George Astor Roberts Jr. was born in Louisville, Ky. on September 26, 1954. He transitioned on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 while living at the Klondike Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was a graduate of Hampton Institute and held a Master’s Degree from George Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.

As a child he was involved in summer camps and enjoyed swimming. He often traveled with his parents to visit his grandmother in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

George served as a Social Worker and Psychotherapist in St. Louis, Mo. as well as for Seven Counties in Louisville, Ky. George Jr. also served as Assistant President of the Harrods Creek/Prospect Neighborhood Association. He was a member of Harrods Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his loving father George and mother Lois. He leaves to cherish his memory his cousin LeDita Hobbs (Steve) and long time friend Zorica Prpa of Ontario and other friends.

Memorial services will be 5:30 pm Monday, May 4, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with visitation from 4pm until service.
