1935 - 2015

Betty Jean “Beth” Hill Whittington, age 79, returned to her heavenly home on Februrary 18, 2015, after a valiant battle with a long illness. Beth's firm belief in family and God supported her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Beth was born on July 23rd,1935, in the Jamestown-Xenia area of Greene County, Ohio. She was blessed with a large, loving family and raised five children with patience, discipline and humility. She will be dearly missed by loved ones, who celebrate that she is at peace with her creator. Beth was a bookeeper/office manager for Smith's Furniture and several other companies for many years.

Beth is survived by her children, Gaye Blankenship (Mark), Jon Bennington, Thea Bennington-Green (Wilson), Madonna Whittington (Michael), Kris Whittington (Melanie) ; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and her brother Richard “Dick” Hill. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry Whittington, her sister Vivian “Taussi” Hill, her brother Gordy Dungan, her parents and granddaughter Jordan Jackson.

A celebration of Beth's life will be 1pm Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 11am until service.
