Justine Bass , 88, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on June 11, 2018. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church.

Justine was born on August 13, 1929, in McCormick, South Carolina to the late Red Jennings and Janie Lee Mims. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Curry Bass and her Son Wayne Wilson, and her Brothers, Charles Jennings, and Eustice Mims.

Justine is survived by her Sons, Raymond Charles Jennings, and John Petty, her Daughter, Annette D. Strom, her Step-Son, Charles Andrew Hill (Diane), Brother, Claude Garrett (Coateen), Sister, Martha Lee Lanham (Gene), Sister's-in-Law, Edith Freeman, and Alice Glass, Her Caregiver, Denise Kilgore, Her best friend of 80 years, Doris Kennedy, and long time family friends, The Cowherds, and also a host of other family members. Her legacy leaves to mourn 4 generations of children - she was a great-great grandmother.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions-Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 pm, after the visitation.
