Earlene Frances (Jordan) Nogar DePeel, 71, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 22, 2018. She spent the majority of her life living in Hawaii and, upon retirement, settled in Texas. Earlene had a creative mind, loved visiting the ocean, and was always up for having a good time.

She was born on August 7, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Walter Roy and Mary Loretta (McKune) Jordan. Earlene was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard DePeel; and brother, Thomas Jordan.

Earlene is survived by her children, Richard Brock (Shinabu) and Michele Brock (Curtis); sister, Doloretta Owens (Steven); sister-in-law, Billie Jordan; and grandchildren, Olivia and Sebastian Brock.

Cremation was chosen following Earlene’s wishes, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care. A private service will be held at a later date.

Contributions in Earlene’s memory may be made to Wellstone Regional Hospital (2700 Vissing Park Road, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130).
