1923 - 2018

Jessie Frances (Durbin) Wiehebrink, age 94 of Sunfish, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Frances was a wonderful mother of ten children. She was a registered nurse who received her degree while in the Cadet Nurse Corps of the United States Public Health Service during World War II. She retired from Our Lady of Peace Hospital after over 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; parents, Gus and Myrtle (French) Durbin; two daughters, Marty Wiehebrink and Lisa Bowles; one son, Christopher Wiehebrink; one grandson, Jason Surface; four brothers and one sister.

Frances is survived by her seven children, Saundra Huffman, Michael, Jim, Rick and Gary Wiehebrink, Mari Nowacki and Judy Wiehebrink; 28 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Cash and Louise DeSpain; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 2-7pm on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. Mass of celebration will be 10am Tuesday, May 15th at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40222. Entombment will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

Special thanks to the Hosparus staff Debbye Burk, Pam Bale and Kim Arrington. All three have become like family to us over the past 6 months.
