Proudly serving his country in the Army, Billy saw active duty in the Philippines during World War II. He was a successful business man; owning his own heating and air conditioning company.
Billy never met a stranger and he ran into friends no matter where he went. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a joke to tell. He enjoyed watching “The Three Stooges” and also enjoyed old western movies. One of his favorite pastimes was reading his Bible. Billy loved the Lord and he was a faithful member of the New Covenant Church of God.
