1976 - 2018

Gregory D. Schindler, 42, of Floyds Knobs, passed away unexpectedly of an aneurysm on Friday, March 16, 2018. He graduated in 1999 from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Greg then went on to work with Cummins Diesel in Columbus, Indiana, for 18 years. He was a long-time member of St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church. He was an avid outdoorsman. Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles; but his one true love was being a father to his two beautiful children.

He is survived by his children, Paxten V. and Bella A. Schindler; parents, James and Barbara (Miller) Schindler; brothers, Jamie Schindler (Crystal), Bradley Schindler (Mechelle), and Joey Schindler; nieces and nephews, Landon, Kylie, Ziva and Abram; aunts; uncles; cousins; friends; and his children’s mother, Angela Williams Schindler.

His Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church (7500 Navilleton Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47119) followed with burial in the church cemetery.
