Deacon Cecil Edward Burks, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 17, 2018. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 18, 1938 to Clarence and Elsie Burks. He was a Army veteran and was retired from General Motors. He was a member of Watson Memorial Baptist Church where he also served as a deacon.

Cecil is survived by his beloved wife, Regina Burks; children, Donna Gill, Cecille Burks, Latasha Stinson, Caletta (Marvin) Stinson-Lewis, Terrance Stinson and KeArron Stinson; a brother, Kenneth (Erma) Burks; grandchildren, Tylenn Taylor, Phillip Gill, Qwan Gill and numerous other grandchildren, family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Watson Memorial Baptist Church, 7217 Nachand Lane, Louisville, Kentucky 40218 with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-1 on Tuesday at the church.
